Hawaii County $250 Tax Credit

The following information was sent to Aloha Estates from neighbor Denette Jones but the information given to us below could not be corroborated. Further information will be sought and provided here.

Aloha, through Bill 38, the County is providing a maximum $250 tax credit (not rebate) for homeowners in the Homeowners tax class whom have paid their road dues to upkeep private subdivision roads open the the public. This must be verified by the Real Property Tax Division through a simple document submitted by the Homeowners Association/Roads Corporation. The Real Property Tax Division has reached out to most of the HOA’s to ensure they have the information and submittal deadlines. The Emergency Proclamation filed during Hurricane LALA extended the deadline for 60 days. The Association will need to file the paperwork on behalf of the residents of the area.
